The Woodyard House c. 1899
This house was built by Wallace Woodyard who was one of Clifton's great lumber merchants. It contains the best in material and workmanship. The building embodies the simple turn of the century vernacular architecture found throughout the town in materials, design and size. Of particular significance, and found nowhere else in town, are the lovely two story bay windows and the open double fireplace between the living and dining rooms. It is now home to the Clifton Animal Clinic and was completely restored in 1969.
