Window Anchoring Nears Completion

The work on the anchoring of the windows is nearing completion. As of the 20th of June, four windows remain to be anchored and mortared. Once the anchor is in place, a metal cap is applied to the end of it and the end of the anchor is trimmed off.

Additional scaffolding has been erected between corner scaffolds on the gable walls in preparation for the drilling and insertion of the vertical anchors to be inserted along the height of the walls. The scaffold extends in height to above the existing walls to allow for sufficient space to maneuver drilling hardware and assemble these long anchors.

In another construction domain, Frank Harrell has modified the Chapman's Mill website to accept secure payment of contributions to the Turn the Mill Around campaign. This, together with the erection of the sign on the mill property which displays the name of the website, should make it easier for interested parties to make contributions.
