Stabilization Work Progresses Despite Inclement WeatherThe prolonged heavy rainfall that has recently plagued the mid-Atlantic area has not had a major impact on the progress of stabilization work at the mill site. Personnel from Davis Structural have indicated that Broad Run, at least in the vicinity of the mill, has remained relatively well behaved despite local deluges and resultant runoff.
Water Flow on Broad Run Next to the Mill Building on June 27, 2006During the week of the 19th of June, anchoring of all of the windows has been completed. Work has now started on the drilling for the main vertical anchors. During the week of the 26th of June, drilling equipment has been put in place on the upper scaffolds and drilling has started at the top center of the north wall.
