Scaffolding Moved to Allow Additional Window

Stabilization Work to Proceed

As of the week of August 21st, the scaffolding surrounding the outer perimeter of the mill has been disassembled and a portion of it moved to interior. This allows the stone masons to gain access to inside window areas on the south wall. All four interior walls now have scaffolding erected alongside them.

The stone mansonry and window timbering efforts continue to proceed in a satisfactory manner. Additional materials have been arriving on-site to support this portion of the stabilization endeavor.

Window Timbers Awaiting Installation

Some vegetation in the line-of-sight of Interstate 66 has been cleared by volunteers in order to provide a less obstructed view of the front of the building and the Chapman's Mill web site sign.
