c 1907 This photo is from some publication. In an enlargement of the original I could see the halftone printing dots.
c 1945 The sign says "Groveton. Old Dogan house. Shelled During Second Battle". I find the telephone pole interesting. It is made from a tree with the branches removed.
c 1951 After stabilization. The photo is marked as from "the Peacock collection". Looking from the northeast.

c. 1960 Taken near the beginning of the Park Service's restoration around 1960. The sign in front says "Dogan House, This is a Mission 66 Project. Mission 66 was a massive revitalization project undertaken by the National Park Service in the late 1950s and early 1960s to upgrade all aspects of the Park System.
